Channel 7 is showing Judy Garland's "Wizard of Oz' now.....sang along to "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"....surprised i still remember 95% of the lyrics....such a schweeeeet song.
Went for an indian buffet with Yuet Foong. It was supposed to be a table for 6 to celebrate Bernadette's birthday but it ended up just me and and YF. Oh well....who cares as long as there's good food hahahaa....the buffet was really great..i ate till i felt this really dull ache in my tummy. The chicken was cooked in south indian style...very tender....very yummy. The tandoori chicken kicks ass...those that you get from roti prata shops in singapore sucks because they're generally too dry. The ones i ate today were chargrilled just right to the point where the meat is cooked yet still succulent and really tender....yummmmy.There was an unlimited supply of freshly made naan (indian bread)....only when you put an order for it do the chefs start rolling out the doughs and making the naan. Heavennnnnn. There was a really nice rice dessert too...not sure what its name is..but pretty delicious too.
The restaurant was really grand and quite posh in appearance with this GIGANTIC gold kettle or something in the middle hahhaaa..they were playing this really ethnic indian music with flute (or recorder) and sitar and i was really enjoying it (damn bangla and ah neh neh but shiok hahahaa)....what nearly made me fall off my chair...check this out.....was that this ethnic CD or whatever actually had Madonna's "Like A Virgin"!!!!! NOT the album version of "Like A Virgin"....but an instrumental version of the same song in that ethnic feel! hahahaaaaaa........i stopped eating for awhile when i first heard it because it sounded so familiar yet i just couldn't recognise it...after awhile....i realised what song it was and i couldn't help feeling so damn amused...hahhaaaaa.....The worst was not over because Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" was next....i should nominate these two remixes as best instrumental of the year in next year's grammy awards haahaha..
Went to get some books and bloodworms for my fighters after lunch. I reckoned the pellets are really unpalatable (unpelletable should be the word haha!)...and i quote dan,"if ask you to eat cornflakes everyday you want meh?"...decided to get the freeze dried worms for them then. Blueburst is doing well and eating but Cosmicblue is still a little hesitant during feeding time...not sure what's wrong....will watch them for a while more.
Got home, was good and cleaned up the place....vacuumed the house...mopped the bathroom...washed my toilet...everything is in order now! Took a few shots of my place :

Like i said, "happy me please stay"...i'm starting to feel a little queasy and insecure now. Mum called me and i told her i don't wanna talk. I hope i get back to being happy tomorrow. Listening to 2 new (newly bought, not newly released) CDs - Angel Blood by Leonardo's Bride and Carnival of Souls by Kiss. I saw Abby Dobson (lead vox of Leonardo's Bride) on mtv with Paul Mac and thought that her voice was really haunting and melancholic. The album is not a technical one but her vocals really tugs at my heartstrings. Very simple lyrics (i wanted to post one whole song here)...to the point...i'm starting to enjoy it a bit. The Kiss album sounded a little irrelevant at the beginning but they sorta grew on me while i was cleaning up my kitchen hahaa (so i shall make this album my "cleaning-the-house-CD"). I was never a fan of Kiss....they toured in Perth while dan was here. We actually even saw people dressing/making up just like them but we thought it was a tribute gig or what (we didn't even know Kiss was here!) The only reason why i'd buy a Kiss album is to witness the sounds of Ace Frehley and his triple humbucker gibson....but then this album i bought is post-ace frehley...what the hell was i thinking of when i bought it? The album cover consists of 4 men without the WWF-alike makeup!!!!!!! I was after the makeup and gibson!!! hahaaa....i better go watch "Wizard of Oz" before i continue rambling.
Trivia : 3 common kinds of indian bread ~ naan is white bread made from plain flour, paratha is layered bread made from whole wheat flour and roti is thin and crispy bread. Erm i guess roti prata is some local invention of ours which is a hybrid of the roti and paratha = roti prata?
