Have been rather busy. I've finished my poster...one more essay to go and i've completed all my assignments for the semester. Actually i finished one essay but after reading it through, i reckoned it was just crap and it wasn't good enough to hand up. To force myself to come up with a better piece, i decided to heartlessly delete the entire 3000-word essay that i did before. So now i've started on a new piece....changed the topic totally...and i'm only up to 600 words. No regrets. Spoke to my pathology lecturer today and told her about my new essay. She expressed a great interest in my research area...told her about the dilemma i was facing reading so many different papers and trying to put all the different views together. Told her i'm gonna spin a tale or two...and she said i was most welcome to do that. if anyone is interested, my essay is on glanders in syrian hamsters. Well, glanders usually appear in horses but I found some really interesting papers on infection in hamsters. I thought it was a stupid research topic but Jan (my lecturer) told me that it's no good writing an essay on what's already known....my 3000-word essay was based on canine hepatitis which looked like an excerpt from a textbook....glanders in hamsters is recent stuff...pretty unknown, debatable, controversial...heaps of space for my own hypotheses (read: bullshit). Me and my 600-words...i better get back to work soon.
The tank that cozzie used to live in looks far too empty and blueburst seems to be rather withdrawn and quiet. I decided to get him some friends...yeah girlfriends. Got a red female and another cyan female...named them coca and pepsi respectively. No points for guessing why. So much for being innovative. I may breed them when i've conditioned them enough...bluey seems eager and i think he's starting to build his nest...ready to showoff his manhood anytime. Anyway, i will go down to freo to take some stills soon....as soon as i find the time. Not really in the mood to take any nice pictures now.
