I didn't plan the hiatus. I was just too busy to update this blog and there's not really much things to say. It's not that nothing is happenening around here. On the contrary, a lot of things have happened but whatever's close to my heart shall remain and not be publicised...heh. My parents are on a visit here. I'm thankful to have them, always around to help and support me. Daniel left about 2 weeks ago...the one week that we spent together was wonderful...we zipped around eating, visiting guitar stores, shopping....i even took him all the way up to Yanchep (over an hour's drive from here) for a wild horse ride. Both of us nearly fell on different occasions but we hung on and survived nevertheless. We trotted, cantered, galloped and crashed through bushes and down slopes.....the scenery was breathtaking and we finally witnessed the beauty of the Indian Ocean together. Cantering along the coast of Indian Ocean was wonderful......Daniel said he enjoyed himself after the whole thing although he got a weird horse which wasn't really comfortable with cantering. He had a few scratches while flying through the bushes and i suffered a few bruises, but all in all it was great for us. I liked riding ever since i first did and it was really good that i could finally do it together with Daniel.
School's been ok. Lots of hands-on experience. I did an ultrasound on a mare and many many many preg tests in cattle. My first surgery is scheduled for next week and after being the assistant surgeon last week, things don't look that daunting anymore. My housemate bought a puppy today...cute little german shepherd. Named it Rochelle. I think she's really sweet and very smart too. I want my own dog next time but after Bonnie passed away, it's weird getting a new pet....having Cocoa's enough for now. Anyway, here's a pic of Rochelle:
