Haven't been updating as much as i should, so i decided to take a few minutes to do that (although it's nearly 2 in the morning now).
So....i settled the Chester issue mentioned in the previous post and jetted happily back to singapore. Spent quality time with everyone back home....looked at flats/executive condos with Daniel, fell sick for a while, celebrated sis' birthday (she fell sick on that day so the rest of us ate her share while she stayed in bed) and finally came back to Perth again. All in 9 days!
I'm still on holidays now but am attached to MPEC (Murdoch Pet Emergency Centre). Felt really useless on my first day (hell, i'm so used to using a digital thermometer i even misread the mercury one!), but after the initial surge of disappointment, i decided to give it my best shot and do whatever i can for this attachment to be a fulfilling one. Once again, i'm grateful for having Daniel around. He kinda got me out of the rut and told me everything will be okay and soon i'll be familiar with stuff and all. Yeah he was right, i'm glad he hung around and gave me the support i badly needed. Thank you baby, if u ever see this.
This attachment has really been an eye-opener for me. Everyday i bug Daniel and summarise the cases i had for my entire shift. Poor him, having to bear with my ranting. But it's really exciting for me though, seeing cases i'd never seen before. There was a snake bite victim today, a snail bait poisoning victim, a stray cat with a fractured mandible (from a motor vehicle accident), a 70-kg deerhound which had it's lungs partially removed....blahblah. The list goes on and i can't describe what an experience it has been for me. Well....yeah.
I stink and i haven't had a bath in 12 hours. Chester is still up with me and prancing all over the house. Looks like it's time for me to stop. Nite y'all.
