For those concerned about me, i am fine. It has been crazy over here. After 3 days of persistent high fever, i finally decided to see a doctor only to be diagnosed as having viral meningitis on Friday. I've never had such a bad fever or headache in my life before, and it doesn't help that i am photophobic. Anyway, then came Saturday and i thought i was feeling better, but somehow i developed nausea and an unusually stiff neck. SK didn't think i was looking better and she called the Freo Hospital Health Direct. The final verdict was that i had to go to the hospital straight away in case what i was experiencing was the potentially fatal bacterial meningitis.

SK rushed me to the hospital and we spent awhile waiting. It was the rugby world cup final and the hospital staff were more concerned about the score than the many patients that were in dire need of attention. There was no sense of emergency in the emergency ward at all. Tsk. I finally got into the wards after what seemed like a million years. The way they took my blood was the most horrifying experience i ever had, but i was just too weak to care anymore. The same vein was catheterised just in case i needed fluids. The horror repeated once more because my blood sample had hemolysed, and they had to draw blood from me again. I spent a total of 5 or 6 hours at the hospital just waiting for the tests results to come through. The final diagnosis was that i am in the early stage of some sort of hepatitis.

I got discharged and was told to repeat the bloods and liver function tests in 2 days' time. The results came back today, well partially, because i'm still waiting for the EBV and the cytomegalovirus to be done. All clear for Hepatitis A and B, which is a great relief to me and everyone. I know everyone has been really worried about me, but yeah, i'll be up and bouncing soon, although i don't know when. Right now, all i'm experiencing is lethargy, severe joint/muscular ache and a massive headache. But thank god, mum has flew to my side (once again) and has taken care good care of me for the past 2 days. So yeah.

Thanks baby.
