Bits and Pieces
The Lord Jesus, after eating with his friends,
Washed their feet and said to them,
"Do you know what I, the Lord, have done to you?
I have given you example, and so you also should do."
(p.s. not sure if i got the lyrics of that song right, so correct me if i'm wrong)
The Holy Thursday mass, the Stations of the Cross and the Good Friday mass were exceptionally touching and beautiful this year. Although i knew the story of Jesus' crucifixion by heart since young, seeing it on the big screen really put things into perspective for me. Good Friday has never been as meaningful as it has been for me this year. For those who have yet to watch the "Passion of The Christ", do take the time to walk this painful journey with our Lord.
On a lighter note, i've changed the colour scheme of my blog with a new picture of Chester....tada! Dan will be dropping by my place tomorrow to pass Mum and Dad the stuff i bought for the family, the bulk of which is for Chester - smoked bones, liver treats, bone biscuits, Easter goodies and story books for baby, jam from Margaret River for Mum and peanut butter for Dad. I don't know what's with Dad and Aussie peanut butter, but he claims it tastes much better than the SG ones, so i got the man what he likes :) Dan promised me that he'll take pictures of Chester to show me how the little one is doing. I've lost count of exactly how old he is now, but i think he's round about 9 months now? I can't believe how little he was when i first had him (1.6 f***ing kg) and how grown up he is now. Oh my, there i go again, sounding like some proud mother. Ugh, i'm disgusted with myself.
Today is also our 5 month 11 years' anniversary (Edit: typo error pointed out by Dan. It's 5 yr 11 months!). One more month before the much anticipated big 6!
Happy anniversary hun. Love the flowers :)

I'm having a break (AGAIN) next week but i'll be heading down to Freo Vet Hospital for a 1-week attachment, so i reckon i won't be getting much rest. I've slogged my ass off during this entire week, doing cattle and horse work. I've grown to be really fond of horses and i don't feel as intimidated by them as i did 4 years ago. However, large animal work (especially cattle work), usually leaves me with battle trophies like grazes, cuts, bruises and a totally sore body. BUT at the end of the day, the satisfaction of being able to preg-test/artificial inseminate/ultrasound these animals successfully makes all the other little setbacks insignificant, and everything seems worthwhile after all.
Although i have 3 more bloody weeks of large animal work to complete, I'm loving every moment of my final year. I'm just not looking forward to working with pigs. Bloody horrible creatures. I eat char siew and roast pork in a revengeful attempt to wipe out the entire species, but i haven't had any success as yet, so help me out when you can.
*oink*
