I Hate The World Today
One thing i can't stand about Sgporeans (or just people in general), is that they are so kiasi and have absolutely no principles. I live by stringent principles and i'm not afraid to offend people because of my beliefs. Of course, i've mellowed down with age and i'm no longer the angsty teenager i was years ago that called every single person that indulges in tuna a dolphin-killer. But still, there are things i believe in whole-heartedly and there's no compromise for that.
I hate people bailing me out. This just feel like years ago when my classmates picked up Cocoa, went around broadcasting that they've saved a cat and earned themselves the credit of being huge animal lovers. Subsequently, they dumped the bloody cat with me and made no attempts whatsoever to even rehome it. Alright, so that bloody cat became my pet, but i had to go through some tough shit before that happened (plus i had Bonnie at that time and it just wasn't easy convincing everyone that this canine-feline relationship will work. Another thing too, i wasn't a huge fan of cats at that point of time, but Cocoa just totally converted me).
I have 3 kittens that have to be hand raised. I ASKED, they agreed. But why are they all in my house now? I have to be out at the goddamn farm while they are currently having hospital rotations. The solution is simple. I will bring the kittens to school in the morning, put them in the hospital wards and bring them home at night. All i ask is for you people to help me out during the afternoon, just to make sure they're kept warm and have food and water. I can't possibly leave them at home during the day because they barely even fucking 3 weeks' old. I specifically asked SOMEONE to bring them home this evening so that i can go to her place to pick the kittens up when i'm home. These people fucking finish school at 6, and i was slogging my ass off at a farm which was 2 hours away from Perth. When i got home at 730 and called this particular someone, she told me the kittens were still in school and she left them there because she was going to the gym. That's OKAY. She proceeded to tell me how the nurses lectured them because the kittens were in poor condition and they were quick to say that the kittens were mine, so that it appears that it is none of their business. Even on the kitten's cage, there was this humongous sign which wrote: "STRAY KITTENS - SHANNON HEO". That's OKAY too. Now, they're worried that their image will be ruined and they will be labelled as vet students who are clueless about caring for orphaned kitten.
HOW FUCKING STUPID IS THAT? Typical kiasi Singaporeans.
Now i'm like a single parents taking care of 3 babies, but that's OKAY too. If i successfully raise them to maturity and they finally get to be rehomed, the feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment will be mine too.
Grrrr.
