Dejavu
I had this feeling of dejavu today and it suddenly dawned upon me that an incident which happened at this time last year is repeating itself. Only this time, i'm not as emotional and trying to take things in my stride (read: retail therapy).
I'm a self-proclaimed boot fanatic. I've wanted a pair of ugg boots long before any hollywood actress was seen with them (these boots seem to be a hit lately). I'm not sure about the history of uggs, but i've always thought they were an Aussie thang and it seems that these lovely boots have now infiltrated lala-land as well. Anyway, being the cheapo i am, i was out on a mission to comb K-mart for cheap uggs but was thoroughly disappointed because all that was left were lilac and pink ones (how to match clothes like that!?) and they were the ankle-high ones. I want the classic mid calf, sand-coloured ones!! I want my uggs!! UGGG!
BUT but but, i found another pair of boots which i really like - sand-coloured, about three-quarter-calf to knee high....AND it costs only 9 bucks!!!!! 9 bucks!!! These are flatties too, which means i can run and jump around in them without being worried that i'll break my ankle! Only thing is that i'm not too sure if i'm ever gonna wear it like that (see picture below) in Singapore....hahah! I rarely even touch my rocker boots in singapore because it's just too hot, which is exactly why i love winter in Aussie where you can dress up in suede jackets, long overcoats, woolly scarves and leather boots. *beams*

Anyway, after taking a picture of Coal today, i realised how much he's grown in the past 2 weeks. He looked like an alien (a hideous one too haha) when i first brought him home but he's become so cute and handsome now! I'll really miss these little guys when they go off to the pet shop. Shit, i feel like adopting Coal. Someone slap me please.

Ooh, and don't forget that Mother's Day is just around the corner. I've got mum a card and still deciding which bouquet to order for her. Came across this "Hainanese Chicken Rice" hamper from FarEastFlora, but given mum's excellent culinary skills, i really doubt she'll ever need that. This site has really pretty flowers too. This is so sickeningly yet at the same time, absolutely sweet.
