Crossroads

Finally decided to come back after the unplanned hiatus. I told myself that once i've come to terms with some of the inner demons that have plagued me for awhile, i'd return to blogging as per normal. So, here i am.

Life really bit me in the arse this time, everything happened so fast i was crippled in mere seconds. Like you say, Life is unpredictable and God probably put this hurdle (hurdles rather) in front of me to make me a stronger person. You believed that deep down inside, i had the strength to overcome everything. I guess you were right. I'm just crippled for awhile and in no time, i'll be standing again. I promise.

I've always been thankful for Mum and Dad, who jumped on the next flight to be here with me after learning about my 'accident'. They arrived at my place near midnight and sat outside my door (in the cold winter rain) till the next morning, just so they didn't wake me up by knocking on the door or calling me. It just overwhelms me, how much they love and care about me. I dunno what i ever did to deserve parents like them, but i'm not complaining. Just really really really grateful.

It's good to finally find some time to do things that i've been wanting to do, now that the winter break is just around the corner. Went out and bought myself Matt Haig's "The Last Family in England" and Bryce Courteney's "The Power of One" (been wanting to read this for a long time). After ploughing through textbooks for the past 5 years (with occasional interludes of Harry Potter), i think it's time for me to get back to reading. And yes, i'll catch the Harry Potter movie as soon as i get back to Singapore (which happens to be this Friday). Now that my parents are here, Chester's now boarding at Ericsson Pet Farm. Can't think of anything more therapeutic than going for a 2-hour-super-long-walk with him again.

Fall 7 times, get up 8. That's what i'll do.
