Horsin' Around

Horsin' Around

The lack of update is due to my attachment at the Singapore Turf Club. It's been a great experience for me, working with the race horses and rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous. I love every moment of it and given a chance, i'd really, really like to be a race horse vet. It's been a big step for me - from feeling intimidated by horses 5 years ago, to loving these creatures wholeheartedly now.

When i was young, people used to ask me what 'animal' i was (chinese horoscope) and i never failed to reply, "ye ma!" (wild horse in mandarin). I don't know why i did that, but i know i was never a kid who can be confined or bounded by any sort of restriction. Even now, the sight of galloping horses (or even manic Chester running unleashed) always seems to free something inside me....somehow.

Dad says that my affinity with horses stems from the fact that i was born in the year of the Horse, and being the "ye ma" that i used to be (and still am now), that's probably why it just suddenly dawned upon me that maybe being a horse vet is the missing jigsaw piece i've been searching for recently......
