The Great Explanation

Alrite, if you all have to know. Here's why.

1) This blog is not a show-and-tell space about my relationship with Dan. I don't mention him much in my blog entries, NOT because i've broken up with him. The only reason why i talk about him in brief details is because you don't know me, you don't know him, you don't know us. So why the bloody FISH would i want the whole world to know the "ups and downs with my now ex-boyfriend"? Total bullshit. I know better enough to leave my personal life where it belongs. I don't think i've gone overboard with occasionally announcing our anniversaries or blogging about where me and him brought Chester. Anyway please, for people concerned, Dan is fine and so am I. We're having a child together now, happy?

This is ridiculous.

2) I don't like how that article was written at all. I quote Tan Tarn How: "Even more unexpected is that these bloggers really let things hang out when recording their personal dramas for general consumption." He even cited one blog where this blogger lamented on not having a date for a long time. TTH, i think you've totally embarassed that poor girl and this is totally uncalled for. It's true that bloggers like me "put it all out there" like you said, but we've never asked anyone to cite our blogs and quote us and "put it all out there" in the bloody national papers.

I don't like being put in the league of "bloggers that record personal dramas for general consumption". I don't know how much people relish in reading details about how bushy Chester's tail has grown to be, or how many feisty horses i have to deal with, but for people reading this just to fish out any juicy happenings in my life, toss on! The worst thing that can happen is having readers who totally miscontrue my words and coming up with their own interpretation. If you have any doubts on my mental/marital status, my email address is there. Write me a mail and i'll clear whatever doubts you have. Don't be too quick to spread things you perceive as true, but in actual fact is just total cow crap (especially not on national papers).

I find this whole thing really absurd.

Anyway, i received a nice email today from a girl who got my blog address through the papers (where else), enquiring about the "ups and downs" of doing a vet degree. I replied her as best as i could and i started to think that maybe closing this blog isn't really a good solution in response to my immense frustration. Hey, i'm glad there are people who like my blog because of my animal anecdotes and not just reading it  to squeeze out personal details about my life based on mere words from this blog.

Well, so i thought i'd continue musing and entertaining you guys with my animal stories. After all, i like blogging, i like animals, and i like talking non-stop about animals. So there you go.

Welcome back Shannon!

If anyone asks me who  Steve Vai is again, i will bite that person.

Steve Vai is a legendary guitarist and a musician extraordinaire. He autographed my spanking new Jem (guitar) today and i had the honour of having a picture taken with him. I met Billy Sheehan too!! (better known as the bassist of Mr. Big - y'know the song "To Be With You"? That's it, that's it!)

Tomorrow evening, i'll be off to watch Vai's band in action and also to meet thes guys up close and personal after the show!!!!!! WoohoooOOooooo!

Apologies apologies to the most innocent party here (i.e. Mr. Dan).

Wait, i think that someone else needs to apologise for this whole fiasco, and that person is definitely not me.
