Yes Sir, Yes Sir, three bags full (of surprises)
Yes sir, Yes sir, three bags full (of surprises)
I've been getting a lot of surprises lately, some extremely nasty ones and others pleasantly flattering. I'm still in my chirpy mood (and as M puts it "you're gonna be in concert high for a long time huh?"). Well, i still believing in the "positive chi" thing - that the only way happiness (or at least positivity) will hit you straight back in the face, is if you yourself emit rays of positivity (some cations, maybe? hehe).
Just the other day, someone asked me what pet i'd like to have next (knowing i already have 2 cats and an extremely boisterous dog).
I replied emphatically (without a thought), "Snake!"
I've always been a big fan of snakes, and was even given a chance to learn how to handle one of the most poisonous snakes (tiger snake) in the world, earlier on this semester. To me, snakes are one of the most beautiful (yet misunderstood) creatures. No, and they're not slimy as most people assume them to be (Ginvie can attest to that!). So yeah, an albino python will be a good present to get for my next birthday :)
What pet do YOU want?
Anyway, i was chatting with P and F over dim sum yesterday, and i came to realise i actually prefer male animals to female animals now. No doubt Bonnie had a really sweet temperament and i loved (still love) her to bits, but having a madcap like Chester is a sheer joy to me. Under the effects of testosterone, the physique of male animals are also more pleasing to the (my) eye. I don't find myself saying, "Wow, this mare is so beautiful". Most of the time, it's the handsome stallions that catch my eye. Another thing (which probably applies across the board for all species): male animals are often more consistent in their behaviours while female animals tend to be temperamental and engage in mood swings now and then (famililar? hahaa!).
Another weekend has passed and it's back to uni tomorrow. I hope the weeks ahead will be good :)
