Sick
Element V
I was out the whole afternoon, settling stuff and running errands. My throat could have gotten better if not for the fact that i was belting my lungs out in the car for almost 2 hours. I love Voyager, although i've only seen them play live twice - at the Amplifier bar and when they opened for Steve Vai. PC said that the mixing is poor, the guitars sound too trebly and the vocalist is weird cos he's not the screamy type like Labrie. Someone once told me that guitarists are picky people because they use picks. I second that. Haha! Anyway, neoclassical metal is just so ME, probably due to the fact that i was brought up a classical player myself. I was never a barouque person though, but the barouquish runs, its unique sense of harmony plus that whole double-pedal metal feel of neoclassical metal is weirdly tantalising. I can never find a term to aptly describe barouque music till NH asked me if i found barouque music too "mathematical". Ah, MATHEMATICAL. That's the word.
I have a love-hate relationship with barouque music, because i never really enjoyed playing it. Strangely, i seem to have a knack for playing Bach's pieces well because the barouque piece is usually the one that i get my best score. I must say that i'm more of a classical-romantic period person though, my favourite composer being Chopin. There's a piano recital this month at the esplanade, featuring young Singapore pianists playing Chopin, Schubert and Liszt. Although tentatively, i'll be heading back to Singapore before x'mas, but i'm not so sure now due to the amount of shit that i have to settle here. Oh well, i still hope i can make it back in time though.
I went to Leeming to sign the form for early termination of my lease. I thought i could sell some of the furniture to my landlord but apparently, this property agency only deals with unfurnished apartment. That's a total BUMMER because i have so much furniture to get rid of. A double bed. A queen-sized mattress. A super-long desk. My favourite blue Ikea sofa bed. A battered dining table with teeth marks (courtesy of Rochelle and Chester), and lots of other barang. Thank God mum got in touch with over-zealous Auntie Rachel and she offered to buy all my stuff, even my car! I'm most probably only gonna sell her my car and give her the rest of the stuff free (it's either her or the Salvation Army anyway). Although i'm quite freaked out by her sometimes, she's been a great person all in all.
I'm off to Margaret River tomorrow. We've rented a Tarago (it's an AUTO car...*gasps*) which is such a mummy's car but i reckon we'll all have a helluva time there. I'll probably have to kick off the journey and drive till Bunbury before someone else takes over, but that's cool cos i like driving. I'll drive safe, no worries......
Alrite alright, i know you know i'm lying anyway.
I'll speed safe!! Tata for now!
