t'is the season

T'is The Season

I'm dead beat! Achy legs and reaaaally tired.

Me, Mum and Dad spent 6 hours shopping in the city. I didn't know how long to park for initially - it was $2.50/hour and $9 for the entire day. Ended up paying 9 dollars worth of parking but it was all worth it! :)

I actually hate driving to the city because most of the time, it's one way traffic and they are so many freakin' "left turn only" or "right turn only" signs with no prior road markings before that. Once you get into the wrong lane, THAT'S IT. Plus, drivers in the city are more impatient. The first few times i drove to the city, it was middle-fingers-galore (mainly other drivers at me). Today was all good. Managed to get into all the correct lanes and arrived at William Street safe and sound.

We went for dimsum lunch at Hoi's Kitchen. Dad loves the deep fried squid there and mum, the fish porridge. We had egg tart, xiao long bao, siew mai, chicken feet (ack!), har gow, and of course the deep fried squid and fish porridge. Everything for only 26 bucks! It's a steal! Eating dim sum can be so expensive in Singapore.

We went shopping for the rest of the afternoon. I can feel the festive mood already. We were in Target and i spent most of the time in the x'mas section. Everything was so pretty - the gold reindeers, the rainbow-coloured lollies, the sparkly stars and glass balls (for decorating x'mas trees with)....i was completely mesmerised. I love decorating x'mas trees, but we've stopped putting up the tree after we shifted. I'll definitely get a tree for our place next year (er, let's hope Chester doesn't decide to mark the tree!! Hee!) I spent a whole afternoon decorating sis' tree last christmas...hanging up all the decor and tying pretty bows on the tree. I love it, and i wish i had a tree to decorate this year. I'm a sucker for everything christmassy!

We got some candy (pooh bear and nemo ones for little Tiffanie) and i got myself a book entitled "Greatest Mysteries of the Modern World". I'm a bit of an unsolved-mystery geek, from Jack the Ripper to Lord Luran to Mary Celeste. For some morbid reason, i like reading stuff like that. Sometimes it gives me the creeps, but i can never resist buying books like that. I'm reading about Hitler and Stalin's death now. I never knew there were so many mysterious and intriguing stuff behind the deaths of these two historical figures. I feel abit cold now....brrr.

The counter seems to be jumping at an incredicle speed and I really wonder who's reading my blog. Thanks for visiting anyway, mysterious ones.
