Interview With The Vampire

My mobile started ringing at goddamn 1030am in the morning. Okay, i know for some people, sleeping in till goddamn 1030am is a luxury, but still! Anyway, i opened my eyes reluctantly, cussing and swearing as i groped all around me for the phone. After fumbling for 5 seconds, i finally retrieved it from beneath a huge pile of clothes......

The display screen clearly read: "XX Hospital".

Man: Hello, Shannon please.

Me: (desperately trying to sound sober) Ya..ah. Speaking.

Man: We received your resume already. When can you come down for an interview?

Me: Oh, anyday will be fine.

Man: Okay, now?

Me: WHAT? NOW AS IN NOW??

Me: (realising i might have sounded quite rude) I mean, i mean....i have an appointment later. Don't think i can make it today. What about tomorrow? (Who goes for interviews on Saturdays!??!)

Man: Okay, tomorrow. Come earlier and look around at our new facilities cos we're still renovating. Dr. A will interview you but i'll also need to brief you and speak to you too.

Me: Erm, okay. So i'll bring all my certs and transcripts?

Man: Aiyah, no need la. Just bring yourself ok? See you tomorrow, Shannon.

Me: Erm, okay. See ya.

So there! My first interview! I've only sent out my resume 2 days' ago. Never ever expected them to get back to me so soon. Prior to this, before i graduated, i received an email from them asking me to consider joining their practice. Apparently, not every Singaporean from my batch received the mail. I hope that means something. According to sis, my profession is a niche market and i've probably already gotten the job. Honestly, this practice is probably the largest and most prestigious vet hospital in Singapore and i wouldn't mind working there at all.
