Mama Mia!

I reckon this week's gonna be great.

Work's been fantabulous. I'm bombed out most of the time but it's satisfying, so i'm not complaining. I got my first pay check too, and I proudly shared the loot with Mum and Dad. It's an exhilarating feeling to finally be able to support myself and them (well, in a way la).

My family brought forward my birthday celebrations and we went for the Peranakan buffet lunch at Westin. There was every kinda food under the sun - laksa, nasi lemak, cold soba (NOW, that's not peranakan, is it?!), salmon sushi (Hmmm?), kong bah (braised pork) with kong bah pau, ngoh hiong, durian pudding, tiramisu.......everything a girl can ever, ever wish for! Anyway, i got a new mobile (yes, another mobile!) from my folks because my older mobile (which i only owned for barely a month) got drowned in my bag. Don't ask why.

Went for dinner with Mr. Heng today. He didn't tell me where we were supposed to go, as it was meant to be a surprise apparently. I ended up in Da Paulo's at Cluny Road. It was my first time there, and i must say that the food is really good! It was a 4-course dinner and each dish was so intricately designed. I absolutely adore the 2nd dish. I know buying flowers are an absolutely waste of money during valentine's day, but i got a bouquet of my favourite white roses nevertheless. Also received bling-bling earrings and a Titus dress watch which i've been eyeing for awhile. It feels good to know that someone's making an effort to make me happy today.

I'm off tomorrow. Need to go convert my Aussie license at Ubi. Will most probably bring Chester to Sentosa for a swim too. Sweeeeeeet. I love Life.
