State Of Grace
After last night, i've decided to dig out old CDs to listen to. We spoke about songs that touched us deep down inside. Moments. Delivery.
I took out LTE I and listened to "State Of Grace". The neck pick up tone. The slides. The pinch harmonics. Fucking heart-wrenching. Brilliantly delivered. Goosebumps appeared as i listened to the song with a headphone. I wonder how it would be to see JP play this song live.
Whatever it is, my classic "live" moment would definitely be Vai's "Whispering A Prayer". It was so perfectly executed i swear i could have just knelt down and cried. I would die to see him play that again. And again. And maybe again. And definitely again.
Damn. All these fucking brilliant (i need to start using the thesaurus!) musicians.
Okay, so i'm unofficially jobless by choice. I intend to throw in all my savings for the trip of my life. Aha, that's me. Spontaneous. Reckless. I don't know if that's a bad thing or not.
PB msged me and asked about my trip. Went on to talk about how brilliant (again!) Arcade Fire is playing live and how they opened the show with "Wake Up". Totally blew him away. I'm gonna check out what live acts are playing around the world and decide which city i shall fly to!
Jamming tomorrow after work, then off to Hideout to watch LBB. Joe's gonna sing something from Serenaide but he refuses to say which! Pulse will play at Homeclub on Thursday. I love Sofia's voice to death. This looks like a good week to have fun without imbibing alky. I rather save the money for my trip.
I don't know what i'll do without music.
