Train Of Thoughts

Rainy afternoon, slept my way through most of it. I had a happy dream which had a painful twist in the end. I woke up, shaking.

Abandoned alot of plans for the evening, and treated myself to a manicure. Spandau Ballet's "True" was on repeat mode for some reason. The manicurist guessed that i was a pianist, judging from my fingers. If there's anything i really really really like about myself, it'd probably be my hands.

Headed down to Historia after that to catch Zhen, Astreal and Lunarin. All of them rocked in their own unique way. Zhen was technical, which was my shit in a way, but still not quite in other ways. Astreal was great as usual, and Lunarin was superb. Lunarin actually got me thinking back on the progrock days because Linda and her guitarist had such fantastic chemistry. Very on-the-dot and super tight. I'd love to relive those days again. Playing technical shit can make you feel so kickass sometimes.

I can't believe it's progrock week next, though it's kinda sad that the good bands like Tri Ryche and Aphelion have already disbanded. Anyway i must say, Dreamtheater's "Under A Glass Moon" is REALLY a classic. Friends who know i dig DT still do the UAGM drum thing on me, even when they're drunk!

Anyway, i had a fab night out. The cute black cat was a bonus and the erm, predator and prey narration that was given was super super super hilarious. Cheese prata and Arcade Fire ended my night with a bang.

And yes, my flight to London has been booked. If everything goes well, i'll be catching Steve Vai, Dreamtheater and Dio all in a span of 1 week! Ronnie James Dio is definitely one of the better live rock vocalists, though none can be better than orgasmic Eric Martin for sure.

Damn, too bad Backstreet Boys have already sold out.
