Lovely Sunday
It's kinda hard to imagine this pic is taken by my nokia camera phone, but it truly is. I'm beginning to doubt my canon slr. Heh. Anyway, this is tower bridge and river thames for you. Magnificent, isn't it? So so so lovely.
And so i'm still in London. Caught Steve Vai last week, which was still fucking mind blowing. I bootlegged "Whispering A Prayer" (well, most of it), and the song still brought tears to my eyes. "Lotus Feet" was another killer live song. Vai must be the most charismatic performer ever. EVER. I ran to the stage at the end of the show and Jeremy (Colson) threw his sticks right smack on my head. Being the shortest around (and having 10,000 other men trying to get the sticks), i was kinda caught in a stampede and was desperately trying to protect my camera rather than myself. Thank God i emerged unscathed.
Saturday night was spent at Turnmills, where the famous Pete Tong was spinning. It was not too bad but the music started to sound the same after awhile. Sharon and I both agreed we'd much prefer poptart to this any day. Highlight of the night was the Fruli that i had though.
I really love London. All the historical sites fascinate me. I spent a good 4 hours or so at Tower of London going through the various exhibits and in the end, i didn't have time to go up Tower Bridge or visit St. Paul's cathedral. I'd really love to visit more art museums if not for the lack of time. Hopefully i can squeeze in Tate Modern and Dali's Museum tomorrow.
And yes, The Lourves too. Someday, someday.
A beautiful tiara caught my eye today. Only 50 pounds but i didn't get it in the end. Just that day, he saw his friend's bride wearing a tiara, and it reminded him of me immediately. I'm such a tiara slut, but which girl doesn't dream of being a princess someday? I do, and i want a swarovski studded tiara, just for keepsake.
On that same note (and if i ever want to be able to afford even just a plastic tiara), I better get my arse back to work after spending a bomb on the London trip. Back to the grind. Soon, soon.
Fuck. I just realised Dream Theater is playing TWO shows in London and my tix are for tomorrow, instead of Tuesday. Bite me. Lucky me for discovering it in time!
