2005 Going 2006
I've been a bookworm lately, reading like i've never read before. If you didn't know by now, i'm more a classics person, so like it or not, PENGUIN POPULAR CLASSICS ROCK! And you know what, they're going at fucking $4.80 per book at Mustafa Centre. Best lah!
Just finished Johanna Spyri's "Heidi" and was wondering if anyone remembers the Japanese anime, "Alps no shojo Heidi" that was aired on Channel 8 during the 80s? I finally found the official site, but erm too bad i can't read japanese! What a bummer! I loved the cartoon (i want the boxset!), and i love the book. It's easy reading, yet food for the soul at the same time, well at least to me. Or perhaps my soul is just malnourished?
I'm halfway through Oscar Wilde's "Picture of Dorian Gray". It's dark and thought-provoking. Still in the midst of some dissecting and digesting, but it's fucking brilliant so far.
Anyway, it's 1 day to 2006 and i must say that 2005 has certainly been crazy. Thank God i found sanity in the end though. My greatest achievement this year was probably voluteering to teach keyboards at HWA. Pure spiritual contentment that money can never buy, honestly.
I don't think i'm gonna make any resolutions cos i never ever keep to them! But i do know i'm gonna give my all to make sure my loved ones are happy. And of course, i'll work hard in 2006 so that our great plans for 2007 will materialise.
Alright kids, let's all bring out the alcohol and get drunk! Happy New Year everyone!
