Today Is Gonna Be The Day

The weather wasn't exactly kind on the first day of 2006, but whilst Dan was driving me to church, we saw a complete rainbow - one that was not marred by any clouds. I used to see rainbows all the time in aussie, but to witness one in Singapore is a rarity indeed. I take it as a sign that this year's gonna be a good year for me, and us.

Had a great night out at Barcelona on New Year's Eve watching AlterEgo play. I got to sing "Sweet Child Of Mine" and "When I Look Into Your Eyes" with the band and man, it was great. I love the stage and i love performing! The last time i felt so great was when i performed at Victoria Concert Hall with Dad. I feel most comfortable and at ease when i play music, although YES, i still do suffer from stage fright sometimes (really lah!), but once you hit the stage and there's nothing but the spotlight on you, you just go with the flow and let the music lead you on from there. Anyway, kudos to AlterEgo guys for being so entertaining. Best sets ever! Oh and kisses, hugs and slurps goes out to the lead guitarist, the one with the lovely-looking Les Paul. I love your guitar, and...you!

Anyway i still can't get over Anand's wonderful rendition of "WonderWall" last night (Please see Clifford's blog for more details.). I salute his sheer courage in sticking to his roots instead of singing the song in a fake Brit accent. For that, i hereby pronounce Anand's Indian-accented "WonderWall" my anthem whenever i eat prata and drink teh halia. Wahahahha!

I hope you guys had a great New Year too!
