What A Bummer!
I am living proof of the fact that you CAN get sick of bumming and being unproductive.
I miss my daily dose of animal friends.
And so out of sheer boredom, I made a last minute decision to audition as a singer/instrumentalist with Dan as my faithful guitarist at one of the local 民歌餐厅. Apparently, we'll be pitting ourselves against many other strong competitors, so i suppose we'll just go there, have fun and keep our fingers crossed. If we scrape through to the 2nd audition, feel free to come down and give us your support!
I really need to brush up on my Mandarin. 10 years ago, my command of the language was nothing less than superb (haha!), but i found myself stutt-stutt-stuttering when i had to call up the place to enquire about the audition details yesterday. I just can't speak Mandarin as fluently as i used to although i converse in the same bloody language at home every goddamn day! No wonder my folks always look perturbed when i talk to them. Now i know why.
(Mental note: audition is "试音" and register is "报名")
Where has the ching-chong-cheena-pok-ah-lian in me gone to? Come back, you!
