After Seven Comes Eight

At 10.45am this morning (while everyone else was slogging their asses off at work and I'm busily catching up on some overdue beauty sleep), Chester decided to wake me up by going into a mad barking frenzy.

I heard the doorbell.

Ignore. Fucking tired.

Doorbell again.

Ignore.

Doorbell AGAIN. Barking became more furious. Handphone starts ringing.

(Expletives deleted)

Suddenly it dawned upon me that whoever that was at the door might have a lovely surprise for me this morning.

Hurriedly, i went to the door and was greeted by a Malay boy who looked extremely terrified (of Chester of course). I assured him that Chester was obedience-trained while the dog looked on, highly amused because he could finally see who the mastermind behind all this incessant doorbell-pressing was.

And from the frightened Malay boy, i received a lovely, lovely, lovely bouquet of lilac roses. The card attached read, "Happy 8th Anniversary!!!!!!!!" (Yes, there were that many exclamation marks. Hahha!

This feels too surreal. It seemed only like yesterday when we hit the big 5. Now it's already been 8 years! Come our 9th anniversary and we'll be busy preparing for the big day then.

Happy, happy. Like never before. Photos later.

he's not smart, he's just annoyed with excessive noise like doorbell and phone ringing. HEHE.

he doesn't like the sound of the guitar or the tambourine either.

BUT he never ever objects to MY piano playing....must be the player that's making such beautiful music!

HAHHAAAHHAHA.

dm -

thank you!

but of course, it wasn't a smooth sailing 8 years - nothing is in life anyway, but what's most important is we've managed to overcome obstacles to get to where we are today!
