Easy Like Monday Morning

Stifling , Originally uploaded by manniqueen.

Snapped this picture while i was waiting for the relevant people to arrive so i can conduct my bimonthly check on the critters.

The sweltering weather is a bitch. I'd rather be enjoying winter down under. I miss my blue sky, green grass, sand and sea. Honestly, i do. Dan and I are planning to go back to Perth sometime end of the year and go on another roadtrip. This time, i know we won't rent a camry for sure. Something fast and flashy will be good. Heh.

This place is stifling, not that you didn't know. What to do what to what to do?

Anyway, the weekend's gone in a flash. AGAIN.

I had chwee kuays for 2 consecutive morning during the weekend. Saturday was at Ghim Moh and Sunday was at Bedok. I'm starting to get a hang of this "slog-5 days-work-2 days" lifestyle. It used to be a luxury for me to be able to spend good quality time with Dan and my family on weekends so you can imagine how exhilarating it is for me that this is gonna be the norm from now on. Sweet.

Can't believe it's June already. I reckon this is gonna be a fun month. Mum and Dad are gonna be away in China for abit, so i get the entire house (and the car) to myself. Then again, i know i'm bound to miss them (and my wanton mee breakfast), so thank goodness it's only for 10 days. Dan will also be celebrating his last birthday as a swinging bachelor this month and after that.......*evil laughs*. It's probably about time we started planning for the big day too, now that the church and banquet venues have more or less been decided.

Will be attending the wedding of one of my long-lost friends in 2 weeks' time. We haven't been in contact for eons and she only recently found my number while rummaging through her drawers. Thank God my mobile number has been unchanged for years. 10 years ago, I met her then-boyfriend Raymond. 10 years later, she's marrying the same man. Talk about marathon love man! I'm really happy for her.

Oh, and i'll also be making an appearance at Dan's grandma's birthday dinner this month. We'll probably break the news to her then. The last time i met her, she held my hand, sayanged it and kept saying i'm ngia (which is supposed to mean pretty, i hope!). After too much Domino's pizza and dim sum for the last 5 years, i hope she still says the same thing this time round. Or maybe, she'll be checking out my butt. HAHA!

Brought my running shoes today. Hopefully it'll get cooler so i can go for a quick run. Someone tell me WHY we even bought a gym membership in the first place!?
