Father, I've Sinned

And so the wedding dinner at Hotel Intercontinental yesterday marked the end of the "lets-eat-and-get-porky" saga, so i thought. I sinned and ate the shark's fin soup, after months and months of abstinence. Very guilty but oooooh, the pleasure.

In between the binge session on Friday up till today, there was YC's church wedding on Saturday afternoon where the yam and meat spring roll was especially delissssshh (there are images of Dan wolfing down the mee siam in my head now). Then there was Dan's mama's 85th birthday dinner at Peach Garden. Again, everything was scrumptious - peking duck, wasabi mayonnaise prawn and the obscenely oozey custard bun! As if we didn't pig out enough during the weekend, we headed to holland village after work on Monday and had sinful nasi lemak.

Guess what? We're having dinner with my folks tonight at Commonwealth Close at the authentic Hong Kong Street with its famous san lao hor fun and har jiong gai.

I really have to dig out my other pair of Nike (i retired the old pair recently. RIP, shoe) by tonight and hit the running tracks again tomorrow. At this rate, i'll have to wear a bridal gown that fits an elephant or a hippo.
