Passing Time

More about our romp at Sentosa here.

Didn't realise it's October already. This time last year, i was still fitting the jigsaw pieces of my life together. I'm glad i found out what the missing piece was and went head-on to retrieve what i had lost. Time sure flew since then and i suppose that's what happens when you're having a good time!

It's been 6 months since i joined the Fellowship of the Ring (think bling bling!) and i'm due for a gown fitting session in a month's time. 8 months later, i'll be someone's missus. I've been in this profession for 22 months. Tiffy turns 4 in a week's time. Sis turns 32 (omigawd, so old!) today. Mum and Dad celebrates their 33 years together next month.

Sometimes it scares me that time passes by so surreptitiously (yeah i know. since when did time stop at my whim or fancy?) and soon i'll be nothing but an old bag of bones. Don't get me wrong, it's not aging or death that daunts me. I'm just afraid i'll die a regretful woman not having lived a life worth living.

Now and then, before i go to bed, i like to reflect on my current life just to see if i should be paying more attention to any aspect of it. I think i can safely say that i've never lived a life as balanced as the one i'm living at the moment.

Life's good, but i can probably do with more sleep. :)

Heading for the OB class again this evening. Almost every week, we get to perform in front of the class and it's a constant headache for me especially when it comes to choosing songs. Nevermind that i was once damn cheena, i have completely lost track of the chinese music scene and barely know the latest hits. As such, my song choices are always limited to old school songs that were popular in the Jurassic Ages or something!

Anyway, i'm gonna play and sing a Jay Chou ballad tonight. I'm hoping the scare tactics will land me a singing contract so i can earn more money and buy more tennis balls for Chester. Btw, i didn't know tennis balls were so cheap - $5.90 for 3! Branded one, some more. We'll see. Wish me luck!

hey.. jay chou!!! my fave... so wat song did you sing?

anytime you need tennis balls can get from me. i have friends who play tennis (i used to play) and they collect all the worn out balls and i let the dogs (shelters, kingsley) have them.

So.. no need to buy!!!

leave the balls for the shelter dogs, unless you really got alot alot of surplus. they'll probably need it more than chester. :)

hrrmmpp...

this actually gives me an idea.. i'm like wondering if i could approach the kallang tennis centre and set up a collection bin for people to donate their worn tennis balls for the shelters. Must do a poster like - Throwing away your worn out, old tired tennis balls???? RECYCLE them and BRING JOY to abandoned dogs at shelters. To you - no more fun.. but to the dogs.. endless hours and chewing, catching...

what do you think?

:)

eh great idea actually!!!!

let's start a "collect-old-tennis-balls-for-shelter-animals" movement. I can put up collection bins in the courts at my workplace too!

let's do it!
