Let It Snow
Ho Ho Ho! It's the time of the year again, where snowmans threaten to hurt each other with hairdryers in a bid to get more carrots!
I've always loved Christmas and i still do, even after nearly 3 decades of tearing at present wrappers! Who gets tired of receiving presents (however crap they might be)? Not me for sure!
Love the wet, wet weather except for the fact that i'm lazy when it comes to towing an umbrella around. The rain is so apt for the whole christmassy feeling. Come to think of it, i've never spent an x'mas away from home. Well, i did spend ONE x'mas eve on a plane back from South Africa. The miserable thing was i had to scoot off to attend morning mass as soon as i landed (like at bloody 8am or something) and i think i slept through the whole mass or something. Still remember picking Bonnie and Cocoa up from the boarding house after that and the horror of discovering they both smell like musk or something really pungent. Oh well, and now the both of them are not around anymore.....
It must be the rainy weather making me emo again.
Anyways, back to the weather. Just that day while i was taking shelter outside Starbucks at Liat Towers, it suddenly felt like i was back in London again. I'm sure it's the rain and the whole romantic yet pathetic spirit in the air. Pathetic, because your feet and hair are soaking wet but romantic, because you know love is never too far away.
Ok maybe the rain was more unforgiving in London but you know what i mean (or maybe you don't but who cares?). It was hailing when i was in London in Oct 2005 and i braved the bloody hail to watch Dream Theater live. I love the whole London experience (although the conversion rate kills me). Would love to go back there sometime in the near future, this time with Dan of course.
So yes, i'm looking forward to Christmas which is just 4 days away!!! We're gonna have a family dinner on Saturday with all the relatives and i think it's great that everyone can get together to catch up on each other's lives. If you're planning on getting a turkey, go for Carrefour's! Tried and tested last year and everyone was amazingly surprised by how tender it tasted (unlike typical turkey that's dry and chewy).
I have a few items on my wishlist this year though but they're mostly wants and not needs so i suppose i can pass them. I'll be happiest if all my loved ones are happy. :)
