It's All Brand New

2007's gonna be a life-changing year for me, that's for sure. And i'm finally gonna be walking down the aisle with my Prince Charming. I say finally, not only because we've came through despite all the obstacles that sprung upon us along the way, but also because it just dawned upon me that i've knew this man for nearly a decade now.

Just that night over msn, we were reminiscing about our past and how it was when we first met. Oh well if you have to know, it was mostly Dan making fun of me being 20-years-old when i became his girlfriend. BLEAH. I retorted that he wasn't any better because he was barely 21 and couldn't even qualify to watch an R(A) show!!!

Looking back, there were a few turning points in my life, but none that i had anticipated. 2000 was the year i left for Perth. 2004....well, let's not dwell on that. 2005 was a time of self-actualisation and i'd like to think that the entire experience moulded me into a better person. 2006 saw the 2 of us taking the big step - getting our house, getting my lovely bling on our 8th anniversary, deciding on the venue for our church wedding and banquet etc. It wasn't all smooth-sailing of course but at the end of the day (as i always say): if your heart is in the right place, things will work out no matter what.

So yes, x'mas was crazzzzzyyyyy in both good and bad ways. BUT i've got a reasonable loot this year so that's cool. Dad got me earrings and a pendant, bestie got me Godiva dark chocolate (and a stained glass candle holder for the family), Sis got us t-shirts (one says "Adam" and the other says "Eve"), Cousin MF got me a beadie necklace from Taka and last but not least, Dan got me a portable hard-disk drive and a pair of Adidas (purple glitter rocks!) that i've been eyeing for awhile! Pressies galore!! I hope you guys had a very merry x'mas and a wow-wow time (in Chester's words).

Besides all that christmas feasting, we ushered the new year in with MORE feasting at Sis' place. She cooked up a storm for the whole family and i must say she certainly can cook! Love the curry and tempura vegetables! I can't wait to have my own kitchen next time too. :)

Dan managed to topple the tower once and all of shrieked like mice on fire!! Mum didn't want to witness it all because she thought she was gonna have a heart attack anytime soon. Haha!

Later that same afternoon, we headed over to our new place just to check out the progress of the construction and this is what we saw:

According to the property agent, we might be getting our keys as soon as Dec '07 or Jan '08. That's definitely great news to us! Akan datang!!

I have to remind myself i'm getting married this year and not next year, now that 2007 has already come a-knockin'. The wedding shoot will happen 2 weeks' later and there's so much i'll need to do. Need to get shoes, send Chester for grooming 2 days before the shoot, get my nail art done 1 day before the shoot, clean up our gear.....yadda yadda....but i'm sure it'll all be fun!!
