Major Monday Blues!

Dead tired after yesterday - nearly 6 hours of cracking our brains during the photo selection for our wedding album. I'm pleased with the pictures and the whole feel that Carvin (the photographer) managed to capture. The jamming studio pics turned out better than i expected and there were one or two exceptionally cool shots. I love the close-up pic of our hands on our beloved guitars (this is gonna be the cover-page sorta pic for our album) and another too-cool shots of us posing with our axes. Love the beach shot with Chester so all the retakes and "NGs" in the rain were worth it after all!

As a result, we burnt a hole in our pockets (mild compared to some other people though) but i suppose it was worth it because of the uniqueness of the photos. I probably wouldn't be inclined to pay for so many additional pages if not for the fact that Chester's action pictures came in a series and it'd be a complete shame to just choose ONE picture of him finally catching the frisbee. Also, this is probably the only time we'll get to dress up and play rockstars! Carvin told us he actually did some homework before the shoot and looked up websites on how guitarists pose for their pictures and so on. One thing everyone agreed on: our ideas were novel and special, compared to the traditional kissy-wissy (S taught me this term!) wedding pics. Anyhow, this is truly one great experience and yes, photos will be up once i get both the hard and soft copies!! :)

If you didn't know by now, i'm quite a photo person (i refrain using photoslut or photowhore cos that sounds so wrong for a soon-to-be married person!)...haha! Anyway, yes i love photography in general and the camera is probably the best invention ever. Well, almost la. Beauty is fleeting unless captured on film. I remembered taking pictures of the sunset in Perth once and the shots i captured were so different every passing minute. The clouds, the hue, the contrast.....it was awesome. Great moments captured on film immortalises the beauty of a person or a place. This probably explains why i have 5 cameras at home (erm thanks hubby-to-be!) and the most expensive one (which i bought before i headed off to London) is priced at half my monthly salary.

So yeah....so much about my weekend. Friday night was spent pigging out with my colleagues and the lovely attachment students (who affectionately call me mummy because i am perpetually being a mother hen to those kids). Hanged out at EskiBar with them and we just couldn't stop drinking! Fortunately, their concoction wasn't all that potent and none of us got sloshed (except one of the girls). Great bonding session nevertheless.

Right, am off to nurse my monday blues. Laters!
