Bon Appetit!

Dan had to return to work yesterday but because i was still on leave, i decided to whip up dinner for him and my family! I haven't cooked much ever since my Aussie days so my skills are definitely abit rusty. However, i think the love and the effort made up for it all, well at least i hope it did! I tossed a prawn out of the wok by accident and it didn't escape Mum's hawk eyes....so malu!! However, she was really encouraging and the first thing she said when Dan came home was, "The bride cook her first meal for you, you know!"

Dad gave a couple of approving nods while Sis as usual, complimented (flattered?!) my culinary skills. I'm just glad everyone finished the food and i hope it's not out of courtesy! Heh! It's such a great feeling to be able to cook a meal for your loved ones and having them all gathered together enjoying it. :)

Anyways, here's the menu:
Bottom left: Stir-fried Heng Chai with Garlic
Bottom right: Deep fried pork patties (was supposed to be sweet and sour style but i ended up just making a dipping sauce out of ketchup, orange juice, mayo etc.)
Middle left: Pan-fried pig's liver with ginger and sesame oil
Middle right: Stir-fried pig's kidney with ginger
Top: Pan-fried salt and chilli king prawns

Will definitely be cooking loads more once i have my very own kitchen! Maybe she can come over and make cupcakes (*squeezy squeeze*) with me when that happens!
