More Photos!

My dear girl, Alice in the first picture; my long, long train in the second! (Pictures by my 15-year-old cousin, John whom i believe will grow up to be a kickass photographer like CK and Carvin.)

The photos for the wedding are still trickling in because we're really fortunate to have friends and relatives who lent their lens (muahaha!) for the event. John himself took 1000+ shots i believe! He's picked the best ones for us and i'm still trying to upload all these to our flickr account. CK has also very kindly gave us the photos he took, with absolutely no charges even though he is a freelance photographer and needs to be paid for his services!!! We've also checked out the photos (all 400+) by Carvin from Milan Bridal and are mighty pleased with what we saw.

Will share more pix as i get them. :)

On a side note, Chester has landed me a seminar with the SKC and i'll be speaking on caring for geriatric pets. Very apt since Sophie is 19-years-old and i hope i'm doing the best i can for her in her final years. I've always loved to share my experience as a pet owner (more so than the knowledge i have as a vet) and i'm glad my boy has opened up the right doors for me!

Last Saturday while we were having Chong Pang Nasi Lemak, one of Chester's blog readers actually came up to us, identified himself, said hi and congratulated us on our wedding! Was just jokingly lamenting to my boss that as much as i'm proud of my boy, it's quite pathetic that people only know us through the dog!! Boss (in all his greyed-hair wisdom) replied, "If not for what you've done for him, the effort and time spent on him, Chester will not be who or where he is now." That statement totally made me emo and i wish i was back home now hugging his huge furry body.

Anyways, 2 weeks into married life and i'm loving it! Sure, there are adjustments and sacrifices to make, issues to iron and sort out, but it's definitely all worth it - waking up to the man you love and drifting off to sleep with your hand in his. Life has never been sweeter! The wedding madness still hasn't died down and my friends are still screaming out my new missus status everytime they see me! Even the boss has joined in and proclaims that "The Heng" is coming whenever i'm in his sight. Haha!

Oh, and my wedding car plate number 8893 kena 2nd prize last weekend and everyone was banging their heads on the wall because they only placed bets for the draw the week before. All of them would have been 15 grand richer if they had done so for the winning draw but tough luck guys!!!! Dan and I were blabbing about how we could have spent the damn 15 grand but we were also quick to remind ourselves that we should be very, very, very thankful that even after paying off the final bill for the banquet, we still had excess from the angpows we collected, enough for a good honeymoon, a couple of blue label Burberry bags (muahahah!) and some reno/furniture for our new home.

I won't call this good luck but rather, showers of blessings from the big guy above who has looked after us all these years while we strayed and went gallivanting.

If You read blogs, thank you so so so so much.
